At CSI etc. we know that there is an opportunity to make your trade shows greener! According to the EPA, trade shows are the #2 producer of waste (behind construction). Our industry is capable of doing better and at CSI etc. we want to help lead the way to sustainability for all involved.

The first item we tackle is that “green” can mean dissimilar things to different people. Consequently, what may be lime green to one, may be barely registering a green tint for another, so the urgency of action can be similarly different. The answer to sustainability is to come to a common understanding of what it means and then tackle how to get there.

#1 We have a “Make your Trade Show GREEN” program. For every booth you contract with us to set up at your Trade Show, we will plant one tree in your company’s name through the National Forest Foundation’s tree-planting program. So, if you sign a contract for 500 booths we are planting 500 trees in your name - simple as that!

#3 We practice sustainable practices at our office and warehouse, and encourage our employees to carry on these practices at home. Practices include paperless record keeping whenever possible, extensive recycling, powering down and unplugging computers and other electronic items when not in use, reducing air conditioning use during off hours and practicing proper partitioning of air flow whenever practical, and refurbishing and reusing materials to reduce waste.

#4 We offer full service consulting to help your venue, meeting planners and exhibitors create and maintain a greener trade show. Items include offering rentals that are reusable and greener, suggesting trade show promotions that emphasize items that are lighter to ship or can be purchased locally, trade show signage that is practical, reusable and has greater impact and a box recycle and reuse program for exhibitors.
